IJF Ascot Ambassadors Programme

The IJF Ascot Ambassador Programme was established to provide fine-dining guests with an informative insight from former jockeys as to the demands and dangers of this profession.

The programme has resulted in over £200k being raised to date to help with the costs of rehabilitation and general welfare support for the many jockeys and long-term beneficiaries that the charity supports. In 2024, The IJF Ascot Ambassadors Programme Raised £23,500.

Money raised has specifically contributed towards equipping the IJF’s three Rehabilitation and Fitness centres, Oaksey House, Peter O’Sullevan House and Jack Berry House, together with the smaller ‘Hubs’ at Taunton and Galashiels. Hydrotherapy is an important treatment method at all three rehabilitation centres and this Ambassador programme has helped towards the continuation of this specialist and highly effective physiotherapy treatment.

“We are very grateful to Ascot and the racing public for their kind generosity via this fantastic initiative; we rely totally upon charitable income & funds raised via this Ambassador programme have been a huge help in reaching the £5.5M required to fund the Charity each year” – LISA HANCOCK
