On Wednesday 22nd October the Injured Jockeys Fund was honoured to welcome our Patron HRH The Princess Royal to present team members with ‘Long Service Awards’.
The event, held at Peter O’Sullevan House, the IJFs’ Newmarket Rehabilitation & Fitness Centre, saw long serving members of the charity’s team come together from all over the UK.
Her Royal Highness presented each award individually and spent time talking with the long serving employees who have been providing help, care and support for those in need for between 10 and 18 years.
Representing a wide range of services provided by the IJF they comprised members from the welfare, clinical, rehabilitation centres and administrative areas of the charity.

The Princess Royal then toured the facilities at Peter O’Sullevan House, meeting a number of beneficiaries and jockeys who were receiving physiotherapy, undergoing injury management treatment, or working to maintain their strength and conditioning.
