Leger Legends 2026

Over the years the Leger Legends race has established itself as one of the most anticipated and entertaining events in the British racing calendar. First staged in 2010, the race has become a firm fixture of the St Leger Festival whilst raising important funds for The Injured Jockeys Fund and The National Horseracing College.

The 2026 Leger Legends race promises to be bigger than ever as part of the historic 250th running of the St Leger Festival. This year’s race will be taking place on Friday 11th September.

This year’s start-studded line-up includes Frankie Dettori, Gary Bardwell, Gay Kelleway, JJ Hamblett, Colm O’Donoghue, Sammy Jo Bell, Megan Nicholls, Jenny Powell, Andrew Tinkler, Joe Fanning, Richard Patrick, Niall Madden, Franny Norton, Adam Kirby, Jimmy Quin, Tom Scudamore, Adrian Nicholls.

The race remains the centrepiece of the Leger Legends Charity Lunch which is widely regarded as one of the most entertaining and enjoyable charity lunches in the calendar offering a truly unforgettable hospitality experience. 

As per previous lunches there will be a charity auction with unique and once-in-a-lifetime coveted items such as unforgettable holidays, racing memorabilia, hospitality trips and much more, with proceeds going to the Injured Jockeys Fund and the National Horse Racing College. The auction promises to be an electrifying encounter.
