Medical support is delivered via our three Rehabilitation and Fitness centres, Oaksey House in Lambourn, Jack Berry House in Malton, and Peter O’Sullevan House in Newmarket.
These three centres cost £2m to run on an annual basis and lie at the heart of the work we do. Over 16,000 appointments were booked in 2019. They provide:
Specialist rehabilitation treatment for physical and neurological injuries including a hydrotherapy pool at all three centres
Respite accommodation for those receiving extended treatment together with their carers if required
State-of-the-art gym and training facilities
Sports Psychology
Individualised support from highly qualified
physiotherapist and strength and conditioning coaches plus support when liaising with other medical professionals
Education on nutrition, fitness and general lifestyle for young and aspiring jockeys designed to help reduce the risks of serious injury
Private function rooms are also available for hire for meetings and conferences
We are acutely aware that the Coronavirus continues to have a significant and negative impact upon many of our beneficiaries. We are well positioned to offer help and support to those affected and would encourage you to make contact with us.
Our Rehabilitation Centres are Open and from these hubs you can access general pastoral, clinical and financial support as necessary.
