Oaksey House

Oaksey House Rehabilitation and Fitness centre in Lambourn, Berkshire, was opened in 2009 by the IJF Patron, HRH The Princess Royal.

Oaksey House

  • Provides specialist rehabilitation treatment for physical and neurological injuries
  • Has a state-of-the-art gym including an AlterG anti-gravity treadmill
  • Offers individualised support from highly qualified strength and conditioning coaches
  • Has a hydrotherapy pool with lift and hoist
  • Has respite accommodation available for those receiving extended treatment together with their carers if required
  • Offers educational courses on fitness and nutrition for the general well-being of young and aspiring jockeys
  • Offers evening and group gym classes
  • Has private function rooms available for hire for meetings and conferences

Fees

Oaksey House charges reflect the charitable objectives of the Injured Jockeys Fund.

Most services – such as physiotherapy and massage – are free of charge to professional licence holders, including conditional, amateur and apprentice jockeys.

There are different fee structures for retired amateur jockeys, retired licence holders, stable staff and those not connected to racing living in the area.
