Tamar Restoration Engineering Club Fundraising

Recently Katie, our South West Regional Liasion, visited the Tamar Restoration Engineering Club in Cornwall who were fundraising for the IJF.

A red Nuffield tractor was given to the club to restore by Tony Jope: Tony is a big horse racing fan, and his grand-daughter is a point to point jockey, so Tony chose the Injured Jockeys Fund as the benefiting charity of this project. The team of 11 retired engineers got to work on this piece. They regularly meet and auction their work to raise money for charities.

The tractor recently sold at auction for £500.00, all donated to the Injured Jockeys Fund. We are very grateful to the whole team at TREC and would like to thank them for such kindness.
