Rory Ledwith will be taking on the ultimate racecourse challenge completing a 3000 mile challenge incorporating and running a lap of each of the UK’s 59 racecourses (excl NI) in just one month, June 2024. This is in honour of his father, Thomas Ledwith, who sadly passed away as a result of Motor Neuron Disease. Both Thomas and Rory shared a joint passion for horseracing, creating lifelong memories over many years at the races which is why the Injured Jockeys Fund is a charity close to Rory’s heart.
Rory will be joined by his four-legged friend Pep and they will be camping each night around the UK to make this a real challenge and adventure. Rory is taking on this courageous challenge in loving memory of both his parents – Thomas & Doris Ledwith both he described as having “the determination and fighting spirit that he will carry with him”.
