On Wednesday 30th November, Celia and Mike Denny held their annual ‘Xmas Starts Here Golf Day’ at Burhill Golf Club. It was a beautiful winters day, and 84 players braved the cold to battle it out on course, with the Spreadex Team coming out on top.

A thank you is made to Paul Barrington, the former World Trick Shot Champion, who entertained players at the 1st tee with his skills.

Racing presenter, Rishi Persad narrowly missed out on winning closest the pin when hitting his ball a mere 4 inches from the hole, as Gareth Reynolds topped this by hitting a hole in one!

With funds coming from the golf as well as a charity auction held, the day raised a fantastic sum of £9,400 for the Injured Jockeys Fund – this is a record amount for the annual event and we are so grateful to everyone that helps to make such a day possible, from sponsors and suppliers, racecourses and bookmakers, but most of all a huge thank you to Celia and Mike Denny, and Denise McGuinness.
